Overview
InstaWho (“we”, “us”) provides an iOS app that monitors publicly available following lists of public Instagram accounts and reports follow and unfollow changes over time. This policy explains what we collect and why.
InstaWho is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Information we collect
Account data: an anonymous device identifier and, if you contact us, your email address.
Tracking data: the public usernames you choose to monitor, plus snapshots of the publicly visible following lists of those accounts and the differences between snapshots.
Purchase data: subscription status provided by Apple. We never receive your payment card details.
Diagnostics: crash reports and aggregate, non-identifying usage analytics.
What we do not collect
We do not access private accounts, direct messages, story views, passwords, or any content that requires logging into Instagram. We never ask for your Instagram credentials.
How we use information
To scan the public accounts you add, compute follow/unfollow changes, deliver notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, and manage your subscription.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Data retention
Snapshots and change history are retained while an account is being tracked and for up to 30 days after you remove it or delete your data. You can request deletion at any time from Settings or by contacting support.
Children
InstaWho is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Email support@instawho.app and we will respond within 30 days.
